Saw Wu Tang at Brixton academy on Wednesday thanks to Alex from OIB. Had to hand out flyers for 3 hours beforehand which meant we missed Hypnotic Brass but I guess Wu Tang were the highlight anyway.
I've never really been a huge fan of the Wu but as they were playing with One Inch Badge I thought I'd pop along. I was hoping it would be one of those gigs where an act you don't know that well suddenly reveal themselves to be amazing, but it didn't turn out that way.
Annoyingly the sound was really really bad, the vocals being completely undecipherable unless you already knew what they were, and this problem was made much worse by most of the lines being rapped by 4 or 5 members at once. Also Method Man pulled out, and as they only played for an hour a lot of their set was just clips of songs.
Oh well, I'm glad I went anyway, probs won't be going to see them anytime soon though.
