I saw these guys play their very first gig way back when they were called Yer' Tumblin. Although I think that may have been a typo by the promoter.. Anyway they were really good back then, but they gradually progressed into a darker, deeper and duller sound which i couldn't stand. It had been a while since I saw them though so as they were playing in London I popped along, and they've finally put some excitement back into their set. They weren't amazing by any means, but it was good to hear music which wasn't so introspective and depressing.
The only downside was Adam literally directing the cameraman towards himself, then when he filmed someone else instead he stuck his face right in front of the camera. Really strange, yeah he's a frontman but doesn't mean he has to hog the limelight. Bit of a dick really.
The Agitator supported, and was actually pretty good! Could have done with a bit of melody in places as it was just drums and vocals but I did enjoy his set. Definitely a better night than The Middle East who I saw earlier this week, who were so dull it was unreal.
Going Shoreditch tonight. Hope it's not too trendy.
